Well i went a practiced yesterday (Dec 13th) and was trying to get a more consistant release.  I was bowling for probably 45-50 minutes and towards the end i was liking the way i was throwing.  It was feeling nice, and i wasnt leaving more than a 1 to pick up.

 So i bowled a few games, the first game I bowled a 184.  Not to bad, i had a few opens, my worst frame was a 7 split (6 7 10) and i also had a 3 10 split which i didnt pick up, and a single pin that i missed.... Embarassing, specially when it was the 5 pin.

 Second game i bowled a 213.  I left 1 open, got another 3 10 split.  I started off strong with a turkey, a 9 spare then another turkey.  Then it was hit or miss the rest of the game, but i was very happy with a 213.  I was bowling very well that game and i thought it should have been better but i definitly can not complain with that score.

 The last game i shot a 198.  I seem to get these a lot, im bowling well all the way up to the 9th or 10th and i blow it there.  Well yesterday was an open in the 9th and an open in the 10th.  I could not believe myself, i was doing so well the whole game, not a single open.  All of them were either a strike or a 9 spare.  I started off with a 4bagger, 9 spare, strike, 9 spare, 9 spare, a terrible 6 followed by a terrible 8.  Still, i bowled a 198, i cant really complain about that neither, i just wish that those last two frames a little stronger.

 I ended up with a 198 average for the night, better than i usually do.  Maybe im finally learning how to keep my concentration, and i think my release is getting more consistant.

 These lanes that i bowl on (well today is my last day bowling on them) are not the greatest.  They are very nice lanes, they just need someone that knows how to use the oil machine :P  The backend is never there and there is either a lot of oil or none at all.  Luckily yesterday there was a good amount of oil, and my ball does pretty well at eating away at it to give me a nice line.  I was standing 2 boards to the left of the third dot and my ball was hitting the second arrow, going out to the 4th or 5th board and then coming right into the pocket.

 All in all, a very good day for me

I bought the Hammer Black Widow about a month ago.  I have bowled a good 90 to 100 games with it over that time.  I have been bowling at the center on my College campus.  The center uses AMF gear and the lanes are synthetic.  They hardly ever stip the backend and just keep throwing on more and more oil.

 I used to bowl with an Ebonite Pantera (for around 7 or 8 years), i bowl up the right side with a little hook into the pocket.  In an ABC league 4 years ago i had an average of around 145.  I was pretty consistant and was stuck with that average.  I had a high game of 250, but that was short lived :P.  In the bowling class i am currently in, my average was 147 with that ball, with the first quarter of the games sandbagged to get some extra points in the end, lol.

 With this new ball, i still go up the right side, i just start at the third dot, hit the first arrow and when it grabs the lane, it slams into the pocket.  The problem is that the lanes on campus have no backend and i have to throw a decent amount of balls before i get my line and get the reaction that i like. 

 Over the 90-100 games that i have bowled i have been keeping a running rough average and it is right around 160 to 165.  I have bowled 3 200+ games (210 high) and way too many 180 and 190 games with open 10ths. 

 I cant wait to bowl with it in a sanctioned league and be able to see what this ball can do on fresh lanes with good backends.
